The technique

Dry prep,
done properly.

A Russian e-file pedicure starts dry. There is no foot bath and no soaking, because softened skin hides the true cuticle line and swollen nails make a poor base for gel. We prep the nail plate dry, then refine the cuticle with a professional e-file, the same gentle Russian technique behind our manicures.

Heels and rough spots are smoothed with the file and fresh single-use abrasives, never blades. Toenails are shaped, the surface is levelled, and gel colour is applied flush to the cuticle, then sealed. The finish is glossy, even, and built to hold.

The sterilization standard matches our manicure stations. Every metal tool is autoclave-sterilized between clients and opened from a sealed pouch at your station. Files and buffers are single-use, disposed of after your appointment.

If it has been a while since your last pedicure, book the full service and we will take it from there. Your gel is cured under a lamp, so your toes are dry before your sandals go back on.

Why it lasts

Why it outlasts a soak-and-clip pedicure.

Water is the enemy of adhesion.

A traditional pedicure soaks the feet first. Soaking swells the nail plate, and polish bonded to a swollen nail loses its grip as the nail dries and settles back over the next day. That is when chipping starts. Dry prep keeps the nail at its natural size, so the gel bonds to a stable surface from the first minute.

Cuticle work done dry is cleaner too. Nothing is left at the nail fold for the gel to catch on, so the edges stay sealed instead of lifting. Most clients rebook around the four-week mark, and gel on toes often holds even longer, because toenails grow more slowly than fingernails.

Frequently asked

Before you book.

How long does a Russian e-file pedicure take? +

Plan for about an hour to an hour and twenty minutes. That covers dry prep, e-file cuticle work, heel smoothing, shaping, and the gel finish. We take our time, and your toes leave fully cured and dry.

How long does a Russian pedicure last? +

Most clients rebook around the four-week mark, and gel on toes often holds even longer because toenails grow more slowly than fingernails. Dry prep and a sealed cuticle line are what keep the finish from chipping or lifting in the meantime.

Is a dry pedicure sanitary? +

Yes. Every metal tool is autoclave-sterilized between clients and opened from a sealed pouch at your station. Files and buffers are single-use and disposed of after your appointment, and because the service is dry there is no shared foot bath.

Do you do gel on toes? +

Yes. Every Russian e-file pedicure finishes with gel colour, chosen from the same wall of 250+ shades as our manicures. The gel is applied flush to the cuticle and cured under a lamp, so there is no drying time when you leave.

How is it different from a spa pedicure? +

A spa pedicure is built around a soak, a scrub, and a massage. Ours is built around technique: dry prep, precise e-file cuticle work, smoothed heels, and a gel finish sealed at the cuticle line. You give up the foot bath and get weeks of extra wear in return.
