The Russian manicure
A dry e-file technique. Cuticles gently refined, no soaking. Gel applied flush against the skin. Four to five weeks of wear.
The technique
The Russian e-file technique is performed dry, with no soaking. The cuticle is gently lifted and refined using a professional rotary tool, then neatly cut where needed. The gel is then applied flush against the skin, sealed at the cuticle line so it cannot lift away.
The result is a manicure that holds for four to five weeks before the next appointment, not two. Our nail artists have trained specifically in this method since the studio opened in 2019.
Every metal tool at the station is autoclave-sterilized between clients. Single-use abrasives are disposed of after each appointment.

Frequently asked
Regular gel manicures soak the nail first, then apply polish. The Russian e-file technique is dry, the cuticle is refined gently with a professional tool, and the gel sits flush against the skin. That's why it lasts four to five weeks instead of two.
When done by a trained nail artist, the e-file is gentle and precise on the cuticle. Our nail artists have been trained specifically in the Russian method since the studio opened in 2019. Every metal tool is autoclave-sterilized between clients.
Four to five weeks for most clients. Because the gel sits flush to the skin from day one, lift at the cuticle is rare. Most clients still see a fresh-looking finish at the four-week mark.
